What are plugable assembled heating tapes?
To help to make the application as a frost protection as easy as possible we offer our pre assembled and plugable heating tapes. The heating circuits are made of power cable (3m) with a plug, a thermostat (controller), which is activated at 4 ° C and integrated in the power cable and the actual heating cable in the specified length. In addition, you should still order labels and adhesive polyester tape to attach the heating tape on the pipe. After attachment, you must insulate the system. If you choose the insulation as thick as the pipe diameter, the frost protection is always guaranteed

I use a heating tape of another manufacturer. Can I use Quintex heating tapes also?

Are the heating tapes useable on plastic pipes
Yes, the maximum surface temperature of the used heating tapes will not damage plastic pipes. For a better heat transfer to plastic pipe one should use aluminium foil over the heating tape along the pipe

Should I connect the wires at the end of the heating tape?
No, never: the heating tapes are a parallel system, which leads the current through a heating element between the two wires. If you will connect them this will cause a short circuit and a damage of the tapes.
